All These Sons

On Chicago’s South and West sides, gun violence is destroying countless lives. Two men dedicate their lives educating, empowering and healing young Black men at high risk for being victims or perpetrators-of shootings.

Chicago gun violence has made national headlines for decades. While the city responds with aggressive policing, two community members lead programs that attempt to change the conditions that produce violence in the first place—by investing in the young men most at risk of being a victim or perpetrator. The film journeys alongside three young men, Shamont, Zay andCharles, as they wrestle with their pasts and, with the guidance of their mentors, construct abetter future for generations to come.
